55% of businesses plan to increase digital marketing budgets in 2013

Nowadays, the biggest brands understand the value of digital marketing. Adding to the credibility of a company’s web presence are social media channels and branded blogs. They also provide new and existing customers with extensive resources to educate their purchasing decisions.

Over the past two years, the evolution of digital marketing has steadily advanced with a great percentage of both B2B and B2C organisations jumping on board with content marketing. According to a survey conducted by Econsultancy, digital marketing adoption is still only in its infancy. Approximately 39% of surveyed companies say they will increase their digital marketing spend in 2013 at the expense of other channels.
