CPG Brands Bridge the Gap between Ecommerce Shoppers and Buyers

Consumer-packaged goods (CPG) often sell exclusively through several brick-and-mortar outlets. However, some experts suggest that they must extend their reach to the web. 

If they had the option to purchase via an e-tailer site, US companies have already mentioned that they’d be willing to invest in groceries and other CPGs online. Oreo, for example, has explored the boundaries of web marketing with recent mobile, social and web campaigns.

A report from eMarketing found that people don’t actually buy them on the net while they turn to the web to research these products. Grocery shoppers are already using digital in myriad ways, from product research to purchasing groceries online for at-home delivery or in-store pickup.
