Google’s Matt Cutts Awarded Patent on Detecting Hidden Text & Hidden Links

“Systems and methods for detecting hidden text and hidden links” is the name of Google’s new patent. After being in pending status for 3 years, it was awarded last March 5.

According to a blog post at searchengineland.com, the system detects hidden elements in the document that includes hidden elements. It may also identify whether one or more elements of the group of elements are hidden.
